About Claireamics
Functional by nature, joyful by design.
From my tiny home studio
Claireamics began with a love for thoughtfully designed objects that bring a little delight to daily life. Inspired by life's little joys and silly things that make me smile, I design ceramics that are both purposeful and playful. Each piece is lovingly handmade in my home studio in Boston.
I began pottery in 2022 as an MIT PhD student who desperately needed a creative outlet. Today, I'm grateful to be able to do what I love everyday - creating with clay and connecting with all of you.
How Claireamics are made

Thrown and trimmed
Each piece begins with a lump of cone 6 porcelain. On the wheel, the clay is centered, pulled, and trimmed into a functional form.

Sculpted
Ears, snouts, leaves, and other details are carefully sculpted and attached by hand. These finishing touches give each piece its own character while preserving its functionality. (I believe this is what makes my ceramics, Claireamics!)

Glazed, fired, and finished
Each piece is hand-painted and finished with a food-safe glaze before its final firing. Once fired, the ceramic is sanded smooth on the bottom and carefully packaged, ready to find a home with you.
